  • Unwelcoming signs and the fact it was impossible to buy permits at lake made me feel very unwelcome. They invested a huge amount of money in no parking, no stopping, no standing, pay us or well go after you with fines signs, but their system doesn't work at all. There is no way a new visitor would have any inkling that you have to buy your parking pass 25 miles away. Its pretty hard to believe they don't actually sell parking passes at the lake and then have signs telling people they will be fined. However, down the street Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch with horses and kayaks and a gorgeous property and welcoming friendly people, was everything that this place was not.
