  • The Wynn Buffet was our 2nd buffet during our week in Vegas (the other being the always memorable Yama Sushi). Wynn is certainly the best of the traditional casino buffets. We came in around 230pm on a weekday and paid the lunch price ($26), and waited around til dinner to eat those dishes too without paying the dinner price ($39!). The selection is humongous, and the quality is generally very good. Some dishes were absolutely divine - roast beef (best ever!) and brisket (sooo tender). Other dishes were outstanding - cajun pork tenderloin (loads of flavor), short rib, chicken noodle soup (surprisingly), beet salad (could keep eating this), vanilla bean gelato (best of their flavors), roasted tomato. No opinion on sushi and pizza, decided not to waste valuable stomach space with sticky rice and stuff for pleasing the kids. Rare duds were prime rib (not that tasty, and a big dry slice will soak up your appetite), blackened fish (too dry, whaddya expect...this isn't New Orleans), and chocolate gelato (too many hard chocolate pieces). For dessert, selection is key otherwise you end up packing empty calories on top of all the other stuff. I'd say none of the cakes were memorable (too sweet), but the dark chocolate mousse was nicely intense and the vanilla bean gelato was great.
