| - I've been to Vintner many times now, but for some reason haven't Yelped about it yet.
I've noticed the folks behind the bar favor their regular customers - meaning if you're new, you're not going to get service for a while. Even if you're standing at the bar. This kind of irks me, but now that I've been enough times for them to recognize me, I think I'm moving up in their little world. But I don't think any place should treat new people like that - service gets 3 stars.
Now onto what I do like...it's close to home, $5 glass of wine specials (red or white), great selection of draft beers (usually see the Charlotte breweries represented well), tons of choices by the bottle if you're looking for something special. They also have food - the queso dip is amazing, the hummus equally delicious. We've tried the wings which I believe are from a local farm - they were on the smaller side, but tasty. They also have flatbreads and you can create your own cheese and/or meat board.
They have seating inside at the bar, at some tables, a couple couches and they also have tables on the patio. But the sign says "Order at the bar only" - I think I've seen people getting table service before, but I'm sure they are the regulars ;-)
Overall, I would give 3.5 stars if I could, but I'm going to round up since they are supporting local farms and breweries which I'm a big fan of!
