| - The only reason I rated this hotel four stars and not five, is that it only has valet parking and no self-park options. I don't like to valet my car because I don't like strangers driving my car. I was forced to park at a parking garage across the street in the middle of the night on a very cold night and getting out of the parking garage was a hassle the next day. However, I absolutely loved my hotel room. It was a King jacuzzi room with hardwood floors. Everything was very clean. It had a nice chaise lounge that I could relax on. However it was the service that made the difference for me. I should have been really upset because it messed up my morning plans, but the staff handled a bizarre jacuzzi malfunction so well that I would stay there again. I used the jacuzzi tub and exited to the shower. When I returned, the jacuzzi jets were spraying water all over my clothes in the doorless closet that sat directly from the jacuzzi in the same small area. The water was shooting straight up in the air and managed to soak every piece of clothes I had for my overnight visit and completely drenched my long winter London Fogs coat, briefcases, bags, etc. Water covered the floor and all my belongings. It took me a stunned moment to figure out where the water was shooting from, but I quickly turned off the tub that should have shut off normally with the timer, which stopped the water fall. I then called the front desk. They sent up staff right away that dried the floor and carried my clothes including my coat that could be dried to their laundry, as the hotel doesn't offer washing facilities for guests. They took my dry clean only suit to the hotel tailor who did his best to dry my suit, as I was on a major time schedule that morning for a Dr. appointment that I traveled five hours to make. It was snowing and extremely cold that there was no way I could leave the hotel with my wet clothes and coat. I was in a quandary. Their staff and security handled the situation so professionally and quickly that I could not be upset despite the great inconvenience. I had planned to tour downtown Cleveland before my doctor's appointment, but I couldn't because I had no dry clothes. However, they were courteous, helpful and accommodating in every way. Unfortunately, I misplaced the business card which carried their names, because I really wanted to acknowledge the individuals who directly assisted me, but the hotel will know who they are. I was not a Holiday Inn person before that stay to be honest, but I would highly recommend this location only.
