| - Wow...like wow...
We were treated to dinner here by a colleague during a recent convention...and wow...
Before we had gotten there, they had already ordered...some type of premium platter that feeds ~6 people...it could have fed 6 villages...
I am not sure if this is all in the platter, but this is what we had...
Salads that were, despite us not wanting to waste any stomach space on salad, we're surprisingly light, well dressed and well balanced--a very nice starter.
8 different kinds of Pan Chan...sprouts, fish cake, delicious cabbage Kim chee, perfectly crunchy cucumber Kim chee, and more..
Hawaiian Poke style ahi tuna--this was good, but there was too much other great stuff
Half shell oysters...probably the only imperfect part of the meal...not much flavor from the oysters or the toppings..
Beer
Kobe beef Carpaccio was a great way to open the main portion of the meal and was probably one of my favorites of all great things we ate
Kobe Style Beef that melts in your mouth like butter...to die for...the best part of the meal
Kal Bi perfectly marinated and as tasty as any Korean BBQ I have had
Beer
Filet mignon cubes...so tender!
Flank steak thinly sliced and delicious..
Beer
Scallops and Shrimp freshly prepared
Ice cream macaroons for dessert...strawberry, coffee, green tea, mango, maybe a few more, but by then, I was so far into food coma heaven, it didn't really matter.
There may have been some other things, but at this point, you either get what I am saying or not...one or two more dishes isn't going to make a difference :-P
Even living in the Bay Area with all the great Korean food, I would be hard-pressed to find a place to top this one...
A resounding 5 stars and I can't wait to go back!
VERY Happy Eating!
