| - I would NOT use this firm, especially for a speeding ticket. Las Vegas Ticket Attorney is a business, operated by attorney Mark Coburn. This business/firm represented to me that they could get my speeding ticket reduced to a parking violation with no traffic school or points on my driving record.
Shortly after retaining Mr. Coburn's firm, I went online to the Las Vegas Municipal Court's website and looked up my ticket. At that time, there was no record of my ticket on the court website. A week or so later, it was uploaded to the court website. The court had already offered to do what this firm claims to offer. (Picture attached). After I saw this on the court website, I contacted Las Vegas Ticket Attorney and asked them to explain to me why I just paid them to do something that the court already offered. There was no response.
Two weeks later, I checked the court website, and now Mr. Coburn's firm is listed as representing me, however NOW the option of entering a plea, paying the fine, and having my speeding ticked reduced to a parking violation have disappeared, and now I have a court date. (See picture).
I call Las Vegas Ticket Attorney again, and now they call me back and insist that I don't know how to read what is very clear language on the court websitetate, and they tell me that I WILL have to attend traffic school if I go through the court website. I told them that this is not true, and inform them that I have a picture of what the court website said. They ask for the picture, and then they ignore what I sent. A day later they respond, and completely ignore the fact that they are wrong, or provide any explanation. (See picture).
I called the court and asked the court clerk if I could still pay the fine, not attend traffic school, get the charge reduced, etc, The court clerk told me that she could delete them as my attorney of record, and allow me to take care of the ticket directly with the court. This firm takes advantage of the fact that most consumers don't log on to the court website to see for themselves that the court already offers to make these concessions for them. If I had not seen the court website before the court listed them as my counsel of record, I would never have known that they were offering a service that the court offered in the first place.
My complaint is about their unethical actions, and not a fee dispute. However, when I asked this firm for a refund, they asked me why I retained them if I could have handled my ticket on the court website. Are they serious? Then they said that I didn't give them a chance to go to court for me. A chance to do what? Go in and take credit for an offer the court already made? They told me they have a "no refund" policy. Well, I have a policy of not letting vulnerable people get ripped off in an obvious scam.
