My wife and I walked in here around 11 on a Saturday morning and they got slightly busy as soon as we sat down, which affected the service and ultimately the food. Don't get me wrong, my order was still good - I got the Florentine omelet with spinach, garlic, and provolone, which was very flavorful. The problem was with the kitchen and/or server communication with my wife's order. She had asked for her poached eggs to be extra well, because she doesn't like a runny yolk, and she also asked for her toast to be extra well also. Both came out the exact opposite (runny eggs and soft bread). My wife, who is not one to shy away from complaining if she doesn't get what she ordered, felt uncomfortable saying anything because (1) the waitress was so overwhelmed she seemed annoyed when we asked for stuff (like the side of salsa we ordered) and (2) because she didn't come around very often. The other servers were the ones who constantly filled our coffee cups.
We will probably give Barb's another chance, because the food was good. The service just could have been better.
