  • STOP! IT'S A TRAP! I literally felt like I had been kidnapped and that Wyndham would end up writing my traveling companions a ransom letter. My husband and I went as part of a deal to get Cirque du Soleil tickets. We knew going in it was going to be a timeshare presentation, but were assured it was not going to be a high-pressure sales pitch. The funny thing is we were actually GENUINELY interested in purchasing a timeshare; however, realistically looking at our budget purchasing was simply not a possibility for a few months. The property itself was gorgeous, but the salesperson was relentless. After telling him no a few times, he became a bit rude and disinterested (fine), and said he would have to have us sign a document declining their offer (also fine) - then another man (claiming to be a manager) came around, and tried to sweeten the pot, we explained yet again that was not the right time for us; and just like the guy before him, he said he would need for us to sign a document declining the offer. Before we know it a 3rd salesperson sits down in front of us and starts to spout off how he would love for us to leave that day as owners, and it took me actually getting angry, and raising my voice before he finally agreed to let us go, and get our tickets. Even more to my irritation, what was supposed to be a 2 hour presentation (1pm to 3pm) turned into 3 and a half hours.... we repeatedly told them that we had an engagement that we absolutely had to get to by 5, and we just barely got out in time. I would still like to purchase a timeshare, but will absolutely never purchase it through this company. About a week later, I get a call from Wyndham trying to survey me on my experience, and as a token of their thanks, would like to offer me a "Free" cruise, all I had to do, was put down a good faith deposit. After I told the rep that I wasn't interested, he became incredibly volatile and said "Fine, we'll give it to someone who wants it". That's just fine by me Wyndham, don't ever expect our business or recommendation.
