It doesn't look like much, it is not cheap, you can't pay by credit card, the tables are basic, it's overcrowded, the kitchen is small and you can't book in advance! However, when it's -30 C and there is a 30 minute queue outside you know they are doing something right!
One of my favourite places to go. I don't think I have ever been when Kazu the owner isn't there and I am not sure how he does it, he is always smiling and very humble. The rest of staff are great. Everyone has to work hard because the place is always packed and not easy to navigate around. It's not fine dinning and you don't go there for a 3 hour meal.
The bottom line is the food is delicious and I am convinced he did a deal with the devil for the sauces!
Always look forward to going when I am in the area.
