We've had Cox for one month and already have had three nonworking cable boxes. We're paying an outrageous amount for their poor services. They have almost zero selection in their OnDemand programs unless you pay through the nose for Premium channels. When I had Comcast I had cable, HBO and Showtime for $25 less per month than Cox is charging me; Comcast also had roughly three times the programs in their OnDemand selection. I reiterate that while paying these outrageously high rates, the longest we have had a cable box work is for two weeks. The only reason we have Cox cable is because when we moved into our apartment the woman who wrote up our lease told us they were the only cable company around, and a Cox employee told us they were the only company around. That was a lie, but it's really our fault for believing such nonsense because now we are in a two year horror show of a contract receiving faulty equipment, almost no selection as far as tv programs, paying an embarrassing amount of money for generally lousy service and receiving no help from their customer service on the phone. Their reps try to help but have never been able to, so we end up having to bring the cable box in and wait three days for a new one. That is exactly what is going to happen with this one now. I would NEVER recommend Cox to anyone I liked and/or respected. I wouldn't even recommend them to an enemy because I do not believe that anyone deserves to be locked into a two year contract with such miserable service. This company simply should not exist.
