  • This was my first time to a smaller venue to watch a comedian. I read the review on the Tempe Improve prior to coming here, so I didn't come with high expectations. I saw Iliza perform on Friday night and her comedy was great! One of the best comedians I have seen live! The reviews are true that the personal space you have (seat and table) are very tiny. You are basically elbow to elbow with the people sitting next to you. This wouldn't be as big of a deal if you were with a group of friends that you didn't mind accidentally bumping. I thought the prices for mixed drinks were kind of pricey ($13 I think for a Blueberry Lemonade). I had a Bud Light and that was $6. I didn't try any of the food, so I can't comment on that. I didn't like how they automatically add gratuity to the check, especially for a party of two. Of course I am going to tip the server, but I like to control that part of it, and not have it auto added for me. The service was great and our server kept coming back to check on us. Overall I think I would come back here if there was another comedian playing here that I would like to see.
