I recently attempted to try a class at Orangetheory Arcadia, and was denied a free class due to my residency status. I was born and raised in Arcadia, but am currently a doctoral student in Flagstaff who visits family and friends in Arcadia at least once a month. I will be moving back to Phoenix this fall and was interested in getting a membership or punch pass. Idea being that I would attend classes when I come in town to visit and potentially get a membership when I move back. I was told that I would need to purchase a $25 drop in rate to try the class since I'm not a Phoenix resident. Instead of paying the fee I attended a Reformed Pilates class down the road, where I have taken about 25 classes since December. Thankfully they offered me a free week back in December and I love their classes and staff. They are incredibly friendly and helpful, even though I'm not technically a Phoenix resident. This is not meant to be a plug for Reformed Pilates, but this experience showed me how great the customer service is at Reformed, and the lack of service at Orangetheory Arcadia.
