  • Overall I have had mixed experiences with the store and the community within. Several years ago I was a relative new-comer to the store and entered into a weekly yu-gi-oh card tournament in order to test my new deck. I had a good run, winning either every round or all but one round (I don't remember which), and ended up being in the top 2 to determine who would win the top prize (a sizable value). My opponent seemed to be one of the usual played who frequently won events at the store. As the final game drew to a close, I managed to play a combo that would win. As soon as I played the card that would win me the game, my opponent suddenly started accusing me of drawing two cards in that turn (after at least half a minute had passed since I drew). I explained I did not do so, but he kept on insisting he did as soon as he knew he was beat. I explained the situation to the store owner who immediately sided with the regular without checking the store's camera so that I could prove I did nothing wrong. The owner pretty much gave me a few booster packs (significantly less than normal first place) and pretty much made it seem like I should be happy with what little I got. I left disheartened and feeling upset when I had done nothing wrong, and avoided the store for years as a result. Recently I went back to the store to buy singles for another card game. I looked at their prices and they seemed well-priced, so I asked them to ring up a card. It was when I was paying that the cashier added sales tax to the cost, something that every other store that I have bought singles from already has that added in. Instead of paying $9 for a card, I ended up paying almost $10. The only good thing I can say about them is that they gave me a fair price on a magic the gathering card when I needed to sell it to them.
