| - I saw this place advertise they do hand car washes. Anyways, I ordered a basic hand wash and go into pay. Meanwhile, I watch the cars coming down the line. It's true they hand wash, there are no brushes or anything, but it still uses a mechanical system to move the cars down the line. The system doesn't look like it's made to handle a car with low ground clearance. So I go back and talk to the order taker and tell her I don't want my car going through their system. She offered to do a side wash, which is a real actual hand wash with a bucket etc. I paid an extra $10 for it, and tipped the guy $5. So it cost a total of $35. He did an alright job. Not as good as I would do myself, but the car looked clean. I would give that service 3 stars.
But I'm giving them 2 stars because from what I saw, the main production line hand washing does a poor job. They don't rinse the cars thoroughly. The rinse cycle doesn't use enough water. I saw at least 10 cars go through, and every single one of them still had soapy water on the front bumper near the radiator, and some also in the back near the rear bumper. The cars go through so quickly, the hand washers don't have enough time to do a good job. I saw a few cars come through still showing noticeable dirt. You're better off paying extra for the side wash and getting a decently clean car.
