  • Wanted to try a new BBQ place with a friend and we agreed to Can't Stop Smokin' BBQ! We consider ourselves connoisseurs when it comes to food and drink. On first impressions when pulling into our parking space outside of the building I noticed that there wasn't too many cars in the parking lot. When we walked into the building we saw a pie case that was large enough for about twenty plus pies but only had two, scattered out. Wasn't there for the pie, just the BBQ. There was no employees to greet you or to tell you what to do. Again, our first time. We saw some painted feet so we followed those to the counter. Man behind the counter said nothing to us for about two minutes until we approached the counter where all the meats and sides were being held. A couple people behind us showed up and were raving about the place and so on. I'm guessing they enjoy the McRib at McDonald's cause the BBQ sucked. I ordered two pounds of brisket, garlic potatoes and Mac n cheese. First off, the meats were precut, sitting in there juices and looked very dry. I commented that to my friend, we almost left before ordering but I insisted we try it out. I asked for some fresh cuts but was told that my portion was just cut. Highly doubt that cause it was dry as the summer heat in AZ. Also upon tasting the brisket it was pretty much flavorless! Funny because they smoke their meats and should have some Smokey flavor. The sides weren't anything to right home about, greasy ass potatoes that had no garlic flavor and basic macaroni that was probably left over from the day before. The BBQ sauce was straight out of a grocery store brand bottle. Again, nothing special about the meal. I spent/wasted $42 and was extremely disappointed. We should have just stuck with LittleMissBBQ because Scott at LMB knows how to make proper BBQ and all the fixings! Can't Stop Smokin' didn't even smell like they smoked their meats! Go to Rudy's across the street if your in the area and need BBQ or make the trip to LMB!
