  • This review is long overdue, but I something I have wanted to do for a while ... Laurie is an absolute miracle worker. I was that bride who bought a dress too small for her, and managed to fit into it one week prior to the wedding. I had no alterations done to the dress prior leading up to that final week, but as soon as that zip went all the way up I was on the hunt to find a seamstress who could help take care of shortening my dress and all the other fun alterations that a wedding dress needs. I called Laurie up on the Monday morning and explained my predicament, and told her I needed my dress fixed in 48 hours as I was heading to LA on the Wednesday morning. Quick disclaimer - I wouldn't advise leaving a grand task like this to the last minute, but I guess my lucky stars were lined up nicely as Laurie was able to have me come in to witness this emergency task that I had requested. We counted 7 layers of tulle/garment that needed to be shortened, plus a hasty decision from me to have the train removed (this crazy girl wanted to dance on her wedding day without lugging around some bridal monstrosity around her feet). Laurie said she could handle it and would let me know when the dress would be ready to pick up. So away I went, and at 9am the next morning I get a text to let me know the dress is ready!! Within 24 hours, my dress was ready!! I couldn't believe it, so I went to go grab it and Laurie had me try it on to make sure all was good. It was more than good, it was perfect!!! I couldn't believe how much lighter the dress felt, and how easy it was to walk around in it as compared to before Laurie was able to work her magic. I genuinely was so happy, relieved and thankful for the changes that Laurie had done for me in my hour of need. The only thing I was nervous about was wondering how much my emergency was going to cost, and I seriously was shocked with how low of a price Laurie charged! I still am to this day. I will most definitely use Laurie's service again, and would absolutely recommend her for those seeking a top-notch alteration. She knows exactly what she's doing!!
