  • TuckShop is a spot that's perfect for all occasions in a vibrant and exploding neighborhood of Montreal - a place to wine and dine your date, check! a place to go with a group of friends to celebrate a special occasion or just have a great night out consisting of great drinks, food, and atmosphere, check! or just a place to stumble upon and have an incredible dinner by yourself or a special someone, check check! We are a couple from NYC who loves to dine out and appreciate the restaurant experience and the cocktail craft. TuckShop has it all. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and respectful. They are like nice little ninjas which is so appreciated and just further enhances the dining experience. The menu has a lot of variety... if you are a vegetarian, pescatarian, or just love a good steak - there is something at TuckShop for you. All their offerings are made to order and are of what's in season at that time. They even said one of the chefs went out and picked the scrumptious wild mushrooms that were in my "wild mushroom" appetizer! And I must mention the seafood is top quality. We ordered oysters, snow crab, and sea urchin to start and the flavors and freshest of each were amazing. We just wanted more. And they were the perfect pairing to our delicious martinis. For my entree, I had the pan-seared Cod which was cooked exactly to my liking with a perfect sear on top and a "melt in your mouth" fillet of fish. My husband ordered the Cornish Hen and he said it was one of the best dishes he has ever had. I swear he only looked up at me maybe once during the time our entrees were served till his plate was clean... he couldn't stop raving about it! All the desserts are home-made too by Margaret, Chef Theo's mother. How cool is that? We heard her pies were one not to miss but that night we decided to go for the brownie and boy did that not disappoint. But one of my favorite things about TuckShop is their attention to detail and dedication to delighting their customers. I noticed a party of 6 or so at a round table next to us and for each of their courses, everyone I mean everyone was served their meal at the same time. That is impressive and it is the little things like that that make a restaurant stand out. Tuckshop, thank you for an incredible dinner and memorable experience. Your place is lovely, your waitstaff are awesome, and your food and drink offerings are off the charts. TuckShop is #1 on our Montreal restaurant list and we will be sure to keep praising your name. Thank you all for a wonderful evening.. we most certainly will be back, cheers! -Stacey & Rob (visited 5/27/17)
