| - My wife and I moved to Madison about a month ago, and we were pumped to try Graze when we heard they have Nutella stuffed French toast on their brunch menu.
We finally visited with some friends from out of town. The wait was about 50 minutes long, which wasn't bad, considering that there was a 5k that morning nearby. Luckily Graze uses a waitlist app so we were able to monitor our place in the queue as we chatted and waited for a table.
We were overall impressed with the quality of service, and it is the main reason for the score. The food was pretty good too, especially the cheese curds!
I ended up ordering cheese curds and beignets for the table with a glass of fresh orange juice for myself. The beignets were a little dense for my liking. They were definitely not from New Orleans! For an entree I ordered the nutella stuffed French toast I had been looking forward to. My wife was wholly unimpressed by the French toast. For being a stuffed toast, it barely had an nutella inside, and the toast was overcooked.
I am unfortunately allergic to apples and ordered the stuffed french toast, which is topped with seasonal fruit. I didn't think to ask it had apples, oops! Of course, I was at fault here for not asking so we didn't make a fuss. I decided I would just get a snack later. The waiter voluntarily amended the situation when he saw the full plate and provided a substitute plate of pancakes, comping both meals. It felt great to be taken care of, despite being at fault myself!
The pancakes were a little over done, but overall I was just happy to have food.
I would return to Graze again for sure. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations so facing the crowd is inevitable.
