I did all three of the current rides - Insanity, X-Scream and Big Shot - on my birthday a couple years ago. They aren't as bad when you're actually on them, and it probably helps that I'm blind as a bat without my glasses that i wasn't allowed to wear on the rides. Seriously though it doesn't seem like you're up that high when you're actually riding on the ride. Insanity was downright pleasant, you get to see people eating in the Top of the World restaurant and wave to them while you're flying past. It's when you get back OFF the ride and see other people going on the ride you just got off, that you go "OMG I went on THAT?!" Also while you are waiting in line and have to see the rides going round and round umpty frat times it will scare you worse than your actual turn on the ride.
