We finally made it here! This area is special to me because my mom grew up here and my grandmother's house who passed a few years back is only a couple blocks away. We have been traveling around the Pittsburgh area looking for new breweries and trying different beer. This one has been on our radar since the summer. We came here on a Sunday late afternoon right before the Super bowl. It was dead in there. They usually have a food truck but there wasn't one for this day. There was street parking right in front of the doors.
We walked in and it is a very attractive brewery. Good open space and a cool English fill. We were told about the owners being connected to England and they brought their style of beer, their love of dogs, and football here to Springdale!
We tried a handful of their beers and I didn't fall in love with one. They were good but I couldn't find one that I really liked. Not a big deal to me because you wont always find that great beer when you go to a brewery but you might find it when you come back. The bartender was nice and we had a good time here. They have a room where you can have a private party with a projector screen. We were told that they own the whole building so they could have a rooftop area at some point which would be really nice. I might be able to see my grandma's house from there LoL!
Like I said before they usually have a food truck here that rotates and is usually pretty good. They say sometime customers come here to just to eat the food so it has to be good.
If you're a beer lover and love going to breweries this is a top one in the Burgh that you have to try out. We will have to come back on a busier day when there is a food truck and I'll try some different beer to get a better feel for this brewery.
