  • I'm giving this place 2 stars, I booked on Hotwire for $25 a night, which was a good price and I'm a local, been to the stratosphere before just to gamble. Long line to check in, friendly hotel staff, they upgraded us to their jacuzzi suite for $60 which was a pretty good deal, I was ok with paying that however he told me it was normally $400 a night which I find that hard to believe. Our first room was nice until I tried to take a shower & it smelled like seepage from an elephants butt hole. They changed our rooms, same floor, no smelly shower, nice tub. The adult only clothing optional pool was nice, cheap happy hour, breathtaking views of the mountains and they have floaties so you can relax. The loungers are comfy too.. Roxys diner, good, reasonably priced however my date found a hair in his food, not so great. Tower, if you don't easily get seasick or lightheaded, go for it. I've been in that tower twice in the last six years, I don't need to go again any time soon Mccalls, great late night happy hour with friendly staff Back to our room.. Went to bed around 12:45.. Woke up between 1:30-7, multiple times because I was itchy.. I woke myself up scratching various areas on my body.. When I woke up for the day, it was like I had been eaten alive by something, I don't know if it's bed bugs or not but holy hell, whatever bit me thought I tasted good, big, itchy, welt like bug bites, swollen and just plain terrible. So I go to all the little shops, all of them sold out of benedryl except one.. I didn't buy it simply because it was $12 and I figured I could wait til I got home.. The sales lady at the one shop also told me that for some reason benedryl was very popular lately.. Hmm..'wonder why? The hotel reimbursed me for my resort fees & upgrade charges and took a security report & pictures of my bites. I was thankful to be reimbursed but it still really sucks. I thoroughly checked the mattress & couldn't find any signs of bed bugs so I am not really sure what it is.. Good luck to anyone else staying there
