| - I adopted a Chihuahua mix, Freddie, in October with zero-experience or knowledge of the breed. He was a stray, not trained at all, and wouldn't listen to anything I told him to do. He also showed signs of aggression when meeting new people. I had no idea what to do with him and was really regretting my decision on adopting him. So, I researched for weeks to find the best dog training program in Phoenix and found All-American K-9 Dog Training. This training was going to be my saving grace. All these 5-star reviews had to be legit, right?
Unfortunately, the first session was terrible (not because of Bob) because Freddie threw a temper tantrum, crying, barking, and growling at us for an hour. Bob tried to show me how to walk with Freddie by my side and get him to sit as Freddie bit the leash and howled. When our session ended, I cried, Freddie wouldn't look at me, and I didn't think there was any hope of him behaving. The reason Freddie was such a terror that night was because he knew that his wild days were over and his stubborn, little self was losing control. The morning after our first training, I took Freddie out and he did everything I told him to do perfectly. His behavior truly changed overnight. The next week, Bob asked if I got a new dog because Freddie was so well-behaved.
During the rest of the training, Freddie responded really well and did everything I told him to do. When we walk by people and dogs, he looks their way, but doesn't react. When I tell him to sit, he does it right away. I can put him in his kennel and he's silent. Bob let me know that because of his history, he will never be the super-friendly dog that anyone can pet, but at least I know how to control him and what to do when people do come around him.
I am so happy that I chose All-American K-9 Dog Training. I really don't think any other program would have worked for Freddie. All these 5-star reviews are here for a reason. I'm so thankful I chose Bob and didn't waste my time or money on any other training.
