  • Ironwood has the best of both worlds - Obviously a very successful local hangout for the college crowd and a pretty good place for anyone to have some very good food and kick back. (Did I just use the term "kick back"? Press the shock buzzer!) The trick is timing. Past 9 pm, if you were able to vote for Bubba Clinton, you don't belong here. For the math challenged that's over 33. Fish entrees are very good and the sandwiches are delicious. Here's my main beef - About a thousand years go the bar used to be a four-lane bowling alley. It's been remodeled very nicely but it is a very long and narrow barroom. the place is usually crowded and it seems the table seating is an afterthought-not enough, badly arranged, wasted space. this place was built for drinking and it's a shame as the food is better than most.
