| - Tried this place for the first time last night and it was awful for many reasons. Let me say that I worked in restaurants (casual) for years and I am pretty forgiving and easy going. So for this to be a bad review, it has to be pretty bad.
We showed up at 6:30 for happy hour, ordered the gravy fries appetizer (discounted for HH) and some drinks. We ordered the speak cheesy (bloody mary) and a skinny margarita. The skinny marg we got was made with just tequila and water with 3 cubes of melted ice. NO JOKE. Nothing else. No lime, etc..just tequila and water and we were told that "this is how we make ours." The bloody mary comes with a grilled cheese garnish that was dropped at our table without the drink by a helper/food runner?
We ordered our meal about 20 minutes later. Still, our french fry appetizer had not shown up. When we asked our server about it she apologized and said she forgot. Then our meals showed up. My meal was right but the food runner had brought us someone else's meal and just dropped it at the table without making sure it was what we ordered. Had to wait for our server to come by to let her know that we were served the wrong food and only half was correct. Food was ok, nothing special.
THEN..the bill comes and not only did they charge us for the appetizer but they charged us FULL price because it was rung in 40 minutes after we ordered it and it was now after happy hour. So, full price for an appetizer we no longer needed or wanted AND that showed up 40 minutes late AND after we got our meals. At this point we had been there a long time (2 hours) and just paid the bill because it seemed more painful to say something and wait for even longer to get a resolution.
To her credit, our poor server was running like crazy and continually apologizing. The restaurant itself wasn't that busy but she had way too many tables. No one else seemed to be moving at more than a snails pace. It looked like she had more than half, if not all, of the tables in the place. With that, I don't doubt that mistakes were made and we felt bad for her because she was nice and working hard.
Where was the manager? Does this place even have a manager? With things being screwed up left and right, we should have seen one. Not one aspect of this visit was correct or even mediocre. Like other reviewers had said-there are so many good places to eat and not 1 reason to come back to this place. Its a huge, nice looking space that will probably get shut down if they continue at this pace.
