At this price point I expect to be delighted with everything, within reason of course. I think it's reasonable to expect a $35 ala carte pork loin entree to have pork loin that isn't tough and full of gristle especially if the portion is only maybe 5 or 6 ounces. Everything else about the dish was indeed perfection EXCEPT the meat. Given the trophy pigs on the wall I especially expected the pork to be the finest anywhere. I was very disappointed in that. Everything else brought to the table was fantastic in every way including the cocktail. The service was quite good. There was a mixup with the checks that was corrected by our server promptly, but it took a lot of time to do, and despite my fondness for her, I think it was an amateur mistake. I would go back; but I'm hesitant and uncertain now of the quality of their meats or their willingness to serve something tough and unsatisfying.. My dining partner cringed when I told him I was going to mention it to the server (he's skittish like that), so I left it alone, but I also noted that nobody checked in with us after the appetizer as to the quality of the meal. Again, amateur move. All of it forgivable if I were at a place that has a low bar for such things, but I don't think this place wants to set the bar at anything less than quality all around. So I left disappointed and feeling a tad like I didn't get what I paid for.
