Stopped at the Saucer for dinner with some good friends before we headed out to a show at the amphitheater. I've snacked here before but usually have a liquid dinner since there's so many beers on tap. I grabbed a Purple Haze, on special for $3 (woot woot!) and we ordered rocket tots for an app. The tots come filled with cheesy goodness and served with jalapeno sour cream for dipping - delicious and just a bit of kick! And with me being a sour cream fiend, that definitely helped my opinion on these.
I ordered a turkey burger with pepper jack cheese and a side salad. Both were quite tasty and the burger was nice and juicy. My friend order her burger with a side salad and received fries instead but the waitress came over to check on us and quickly corrected it. Great service here! The food was a bit slow, which wasnt a big deal since we had the time, but my friend Bryan mentioned it's good food but always tends to take a bit long to make it to the table.
Only thing downside about Flying Saucer is all the tables and booths are very close together. With it being busy last night, it was a bit of a maze weaving through it all to get to the bathroom. But other than that, great hang out, always a beer on special and our server was very knowledgeable and friendly!
