| - This has been a weird couple of days with this Express Lube. My car had a flat tire so I took it off and took it down to this place. This was Saturday morning. I was told and shown that my tire had a hole in it due to the weather. So, it couldn't be fixed and I would have to buy a new one. He looked around to see if they had the tire in stock. And, with the luck I have with cars, they didn't. Now, he has to order one; which is fine as I have use of another car if I need it. He then informed me that they were short handed that day and it would take some time to get the tire in from the warehouse and put it on. This was about 10 am maybe a little after. So, I should hear back from them that afternoon in order to pick up my tire. After waiting a few hours, I decided to call and see what the status was. And here was the reply... "I meant to call you earlier but we got busy. After you left, I realized that our warehouse doesn't deliver on the weekends." I was kind of upset but I am pretty easy going. He then said he would understand if I wanted to pick up my tire and take it elsewhere.
*Side Note: I have dealt with Big-O tires and there was no way in hell that I would ever take my business there. They are the worst in customer service. But, that seems to be par with my experiences in dealing with car troubles.
Anyhow, I asked him when I would get my tire fixed. "First thing Monday morning" And, like I said earlier... "I have access to another car if I need it". I have called once to find out what is going on with my tire. "The warehouse hasn't made the delivery yet and we'll find out and call you back" was the reply I received. About an hour later, I was told that my tire was done and ready to pick up. They were nothing but kind and respectful. I even got an extra 10% discount because of it. So, out the door my tire cost less than $100.
Even though, I could have picked up my tire and taken it elsewhere; I decided to be patient and let Express Lube do the job. I'm happy that I did as they really are good guys that work there and go the extra mile to earn my business.
To be fair... I have never received poor service from Express Lube and even through this experience they have been really polite and reassuring. I will continue giving them my business as I see this as a one time miscommunication.
