  • My wife (a chef herself) and I have been looking forward to eating here for years, but our experience the other night was very disappointing. The ambience and service were OK, but nothing special really and the meal, though there were some high points, was completely ruined by a mistake that should never, ever occur at a restaurant of this caliber. The problem? My lamb dish came served with a sauteed kale that was so oversalted that it was, in hindsight, inedible. I should have sent it back but we were running late and I had already sent the lamb dish back once so that they could cook it as I had ordered it (medium well). So my wife and I mixed the kale with bites of other things and ate it. What a mistake. We were both physically ill for the rest of the night from the salt. We each had to drink four bottles of water over the course of two hours just to be able to swallow and tone down the headache and sore throat from the salt. This was an inexcusable mistake at a restaurant of this quality. SOMEONE in the kitchen had to have tasted that kale and decided to serve it to customers rather than tossing it and making a new batch. If it was a mistake of extreme overseasoning on just our dish, then that is equally inexcusable. My wife and I eat at high-quality restaurants often (Craft is our favorite) and this was so far from what we expected, we are still in shock.
