| - The Lady that handled my exchange made me feel like a criminal.
This is the worst customer service in retail
I had to return a pair of slacks WITH A RECEIPT.
The story started The day before. I took the slacks to the fashion show location to exchange it but i forgot the receipt and they didn't have my size anyways. The gentleman there told me what i could do was purchases the slacks of my size from their California location, they would mail it to me. And i can come back, with the receipt for a cash refund.
So I bought the slacks from California and went home.
Today instead of going to the fashion show location to get my cash refund for my slacks,, i decide to go to the Rampart location.
So i show up at the rampart location and went straight to the cash register and was greeted by the lady there.
I told her i had a return and the smile dissipated from her face immediately. She asked immediately if i had made the purchase from her store and i told her no, i had bought it from fashion show mall.
she took the slacks out, looked at it disapprovingly and asked "had i worn it before". I said yes, because i was thinking i had to wear it to try it on. AND as SOON as i said yes she IMMEDIATELY said "well, then i can't take it back"
I was puzzled and wondering what she was talking about when i realize that she was ASSUMING that i wore these pants out, maybe to some event, and now that the event was over, i no longer need the pants.
So i looked at her and said "yeah i wore them, i wore the to try them on"
She gives me a disbelieving look, making me feel like i had to tell her my whole story about how i had just bought the SAME EXACT PAIR OF SLACKS but a larger size yesterday and the fashion show said a refund was no problem as long as i had my receipt.
Now i am thinking, why am i explaining my self to this woman?? I have the fricking receipt!!
She then starts scanning the slacks and asking about the tags, and how come i only have one tag not the other... seems to be looking for a reason to not accept my return. the whole time acting like she doesn't know if she can do this or not. The whole time mummering comments like "...i don't know if i can..... let me check something really quick... im not sure....
I've never felt so insulted, like im trying to scam the Banana republic.
At the end of this insult she gives me my refund. When i said "thanks" she grunted a "un-hun". Not your welcome or anytime. The whole time not looking at me and frowning.
I know there are people that buy clothing wear them for an event then return them, but i was not one of those guys. The fact that she ASSUMED i was is the most insulting thing that has happened to me in a long time.
I am going to call a store manager from a different store and complain about her. I wish i had her name. Hopefully they will know who i am talking about from my description. I will make sure to tell everybody about how i was treated by this employee.
