I was walking around in the Annex in the blistering sun and then it hit me... it's officially ice cream season! Excited by this realization I quickly whipped out my iPhone and used my trusty Yelp app to find the nearing ice cream shop. (Yelp HQ I accept payment for my shameless plugs in the form of shoes!)
Greg's ice cream was the first on the list and I was excited to try a non-Laura Secord/Baskin Robins/Dairy Queen joint. I liked that they had a good mix of classic flavors (chocolate, vanilla, etc...) with a few funkier options (Strawberry yogurt, marshmallow and coconut).
At $4 a cup, I though it would be more worth it to go for a less traditional flavour. I got one small scoop of coconut ice cream in a cup and it was yummy... mmmm coconut! Not only did it taste homemade but also there were pieces of fresh shredded coconut in the ice cream.
My only complaint would be the wait time. When I went it was super busy and since there is only one guy doing both the scooping and the cash I waited about 7 minutes for my scoop. FYI it's cash only
