| - Whenever people used to tell me "If there are lots of Chinese people in a Chinese restaurant then you know it is good", I used to just shrug and think it was just a perception thing.
I walk into this place and it's full of white people and Walmart rednecks. The bar, the tables, the decor looks like it came straight out of the 70s and it smelled like cigarette smoke. Whatever I thought, I was hungry and the mango chicken special was cheap and sounded good.
The waitress came to take my order about 5 minutes after sitting down, I didn't mind because I was entertained by the CP24 TV just in front of me. I order the mango chicken and a glass of water. A few minutes later I get my glass of water, it was full of particles floating in the water, they really need to look into a filtration system or their plumbing.
The entree arrive 10 minutes later. It came with a small cup of rice and some chicken douched in a fluorescent orange sauce and some vegetables. The sauce had an overly strong, artificial mango taste to it, and the vegetables were under cooked.
If you are really looking for some Chinese food, walk 10 minutes north to Gerrard Chinatown, or walk west or east along queen for any other deli, cafe, or Thai restaurant.
