  • Came in last week to get a tool chest that appeared to have a sale sign on it. As it turns out, the sign had just been laid on top of the boxed item I wanted. When they told me it was for a different item, and that they were out of stock with more coming in the next day, I figured I would come back. Instead, before I got to tell them I'd come back the next day, they offered to charge me a favorable split of the difference. I would never have been 'that customer' and fought them on their mistake but they insisted and that was a huge move! I do shop at the terrible Home Despot but this attitude will get me to skip the giant box places and hang at Ace from now on!
