  • I preface this review by saying I do not enjoy Las Vegas, particularly the Strip area. I'm not into gambling and basically only visit there to celebrate special events with friends and family, as was this most recent trip. I will however fairly review the Bellagio and its amenities based on other resort experiences and not on the fact that they're located in a city I do not like. Hotel - Our suite was incredible - well-appointed, sparkling clean, spacious, great views, top floor. By booking a suite, guests are entitled to free transportation (via limo) to and from the airport, private check-in (Chairman's Lounge), and some exclusive discounts and comps (free meals, spa credits, etc). There are keyed elevators and suite guests can also utilize a private elevator system away from the main elevators. There are also designated concierge and guest services reps, however we found them to be less than helpful or knowledgeable. My biggest complaint is that smoking is allowed, even in the suites, and that is the main reason I cannot score the hotel higher. I'm very sensitive to the smoke and feel miserable around it. There is an ozone system to clean the air but my eyes and sinuses were still bothered by the smoke. Casino - I really don't feel equipped to review or rate their casino as I don't participate in gambling and cannot be around the smoke. It seemed to always be crowded when we'd pass through so I guess that's a good thing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here but it is not cheap and you really have to pay attention to the time if you want to get into certain restaurants or shows. Research discounts and deals before you go. Several hotels and resorts belong to larger corporate groups and they give loyalty bonuses and discounts to their guests.
