My wife and I shared the beef tartare which was decent but far from the best I have had (The Chase). I had the venison and my wife had the veal tenderloin. Both were cooked to perfection and had great flavor. The negative was the service and atmosphere. It began with the waiter giving a scowl when I did not order a wine priced over $100 and thereafter the service was perfunctory. Although the restaurant was not busy the owner was AWOL and was seen only on arriving and on leaving. The whole evening was cold and sterile. I guess if you are a regular you get good service but for an occasional customer they could not have cared less.
