  • Last night was the first time I have ever been to the melting pot. It was a surprise from my boyfriend as we were celebrating our two year anniversary. He had everything already ordered for us with a bottle of wine. Once we were settled in our booth they brought our wine and our lovely waitress brought our wine and I had noticed something in the corner of my eye and a huge cockroach came crawling from under the picture on the wall. Naturally I wanted to scream but I just got up and told the bartender he came and killed it and said he would get the manager. The manager came he was a really nice guy and said sorry and asked how the food was. He just acted like it wasn't a big deal which I mean for a place like that it kinda is when your paying close too 200 bucks for a dinner... We said it was fine and didn't make a big deal about it. As I'm sure some people would try to get the meal for free or something since that place is really expensive. But I will say the whole rest of the night I was pretty grossed out. The manager came back around 30 mins later and gave us 25 bucks off which is really cool. But for how much my boyfriend paid for the four course meal and bottle of wine and how nice the place is. We just felt like yeah it was nice of him to do and we really appreciated it but thought he could have done a little more since we didn't make a big fuss. But oh well. The food was pretty good. And we still got to celebrate our Anniversary together so that's all that mattered.
