Not one of those loud trendy sushi houses! A hidden gem tucked into an unlikely area. I am a lover of great Japanese food and finding one seems to be a difficult undertaking in the Phoenix area. Akaihana's food is fantastic and reasonably priced. I love to get the Mr. Sushi Bento for lunch. It has everything you could ask for in a bento (including a very fresh price of sashimi tuna) and the quality of the meat is great. This place is not fancy, and you won't be bombarded with the standard high-volume techno drumbeats that most sushi places seem to have; much more traditional here. two thumbs way up!
