  • Baby K's is a good little Cajun joint off of Dobson Rd in Mesa. Nice ambience, live music, smiling servers and very good food makes the place definitely one of the best representatives of southern food in the east valley. I tried the fried chicken special on Thursday night and it was excellent. Huge portions, moist breast meat, crispy chicken skin, lots of spices including perfect helpings of cayenne on the chicken made the dinner great. The dirty rice is a perfect side. I also tried the gumbo and jambalaya from a friend's plate and they were very tasty as well. Definitely a place to check out if you like southern comfort food.
