I am moving and wanted to order new furniture so I needed to get rid of my old couch and chair. I called the Salvation Army a couple weeks ago to ask if they pick up furniture and they said yes. So I made an appointment - they only pick up Monday thru Friday and they only give you a range of 8am to 4pm (not very flexible in my opinion). So I took the day off work today and waited and waited and waited and finally at 3:25pm I called and they said I was the last stop and they should be coming soon....5 minutes later my phone rings and it was the Salvation Army telling me the truck is full and they can't pick up my furniture today and will have to reschedule! This was unacceptable to me as I already took ONE day off work with no guarantees, I was not about to do it again...the guy I spoke to was not very apologetic....I will NEVER have anything to do with the Salvation Army again! If they treat their donors like this, how do they treat their clients!!!! I'm sticking with Good Will!!!!!
