A small place at one corner of the Distillery District, with a varied selection of chocolate goods packaged for sale. Inside is a counter to order drinks/chocolates to the right, a gelato counter near center, and a small dining area to the left. Against the back, walled in glass, are some rooms where they prepare the chocolates and other goodies. Watched some butter getting churned but action was slow when we were there. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Tried a spicy Mayan hot chocolate shot, came in an expresso cup. Smooth, intense, with an almost smoky spice. Definitely a nice little treat.
Joined my friend to share a scoop of blood orange sorbet and roasted hazelnut gelato. Great flavors for both, especially the richly nutty hazelnut, although I've had gelato with better texture. Overall enjoyed this stop.
