  • We were in the area to check out the Tailrace Marina and while there decided to try J Peters for lunch on impulse, knowing nothing about the place. We were wonderfully surprised. It is comfortably appointed, and we chose to sit at the beautiful deck overlooking the river. Service was prompt and friendly with our server offering helpful advice about the menu. I opted for a salad with chicken and warm house dressing. My wife did a barbeque burger and seasoned fries. Both were generously portioned, good quality and excellent in their preparation. The atmosphere is terrific, great value for the quality provided, and the staff is on their game. What's not to like. We will definitely be back.
