  • We stayed here for 2 nights 11/25-11/27 because they sent me a discounted price for joining the mailing list, we could stay 2 nights between 11/25-12/1 before their Dec. 3 grand opening. I wasnt going to pass up a chance to stay at a brand new hotel. Few problems, for me, hopefully these things will be addressed by the grand opening. First up i give the 3 stars for how beautiful the place is. Place is easy to find on Sahara off of Las Vegas Bl, big red shiny hotel with high rise condos next door, on the corner of Las Vegas & Sahara is the Worlds Largest Souvenir store. We got there Friday around 4pm place was empty, as it was for our entire 3 days 2 night stay. Parking: samething everybody else said. There are no bumpers so be careful when parking, i hit the cement wall, lol. Elevators: why theres a door is beyond me it was a nuisance especially when take luggage in & out. They came fast, no long wait. Staff: they didnt go out of their way to be friendly or helpful, but when asked most of our needs were met. Check-in: they havent mastered the system yet, took awhile trying to figure out the computer, they were still training, a lady was looking over their shoulders. Check your bill when u check out, we had to have ours adjusted, charged resort fees when they were supposed to be waived with our offer. Tea garden: wasnt a garden not even a room, its at the check in, strange. I meant to see if they sold the tea pot that was in the room, i loved it, piping hot in 60 seconds. Pool: Makes no sense, it is where u check in, everyone can see u lounging around the pool as they stand in line or at the tea bar. Casino: Joined players club, the place is really super small which wouldnt be a problem if they had better slots. Only bar i saw was in the middle of the floor under the beautiful dragon, drinks, ok. Food: I love chinese food but we didnt try anything here prices too high, to me chinese food is chinese food, nothing u can do to it to justify their prices. Room: Beautiful but not laid out well at all. Loved the red tint on the windows big tv lots of asian channels, beds very comfy. 2 wardrobe closets taking up too much space, both had a rod but no hangers or hooks in the room had to throw our coats or anything that needed to be hung up on chairs. 1 had the iron & board inside the other had a safe. Nothing in the room to tell u about the hotel offers, i.e restaurants etc., except a pamphlet with the high Sothys spa products they were pushing. Bathroom: No tub, shower is ridiculously huge, u have to walk all the way in to turn on & get hit with cold water, then stand in the opening to soap up with no shower curtain, cold. So much wall space, 1 towel rack in the bathroom. Sothys toiletries were great. All said & done, no food, no relaxing bath, no gambling, no decent pool, at what they will be charging at regular price not worth it for me. I would rather stay downtown at Golden Nugget for that price. There isnt any reason for me to return.
