  • I have been going to Painted Desert for several years beginning when I lived on the other side of town. They have always done a great job and my dogs have always been happy to go in and they are happy when they are picked up. Five years ago, we got a little spaniel mix that had been feral and badly abused. I spoke to PD about his issues and they had me bring him in on a slow and quiet day. I was very clear that he was a work in progress and I didn't want them to push him which they did not!!! They were only able to bathe and towel dry him on that first visit, which was fine with me. Fast forward a couple of years...about 4 months ago, they were able to completely blow dry him without someone holding him in their arms AND they were able to trim his feathers. That was HUGE!!! Yesterday, they were able to trim all four legs and ended up trimming his body because as his groomer put it "hair was sticking up in weird places and he didn't look right." I cannot be happier with the service they provide and "Levi" thinks they are pretty cool, too!!!
