  • First of all, the place is clean, so there's a plus. There weren't any indicators as to whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. I had to go up to their counter to ask. Once we were seated, a woman came over promptly with menus and after a few minutes she asked what we'd like to drink. I asked for jamaica and the clearly Latin woman looked at me like I was crazy. I've literally never been to an authentic Mexican restaurant that didn't serve it. So, I asked for horchata. The horchata was mediocre at best. It came from a fountain drink dispenser. Very watered down, almost no flavor, disappointing to say the least. We ordered chips and salsa, which weren't bad. They were obviously freshly made. The salsa didn't have a lot of flavor and definitely no spice, but it wasn't bad. After a few short minutes, the only waiter came over to take our order. I had a carne asada burrito and my boyfriend ordered a machaca burrito with no jalapeños and a side of rice and beans. . We had finished our chips and salsa long before our burritos were delivered...with dirty utensils. My burrito lacked a lot of flavor. It was made up of steak, beans, and guacamole. It had very little meat and loads of beans and guacamole. The beans weren't bad, but they tasted like they were out of a can. The guacamole was literally just avocado and lime. There wasn't enough steak in the burrito for me to actually decide whether I liked it or not. My boyfriends burrito wasn't bad. It was very spicy. If you remember from earlier in this review, he asked for no jalapeños. There were ALOT of jalapeños in his burrito. He couldn't get through half of it. He said the rice wasn't too bad, but again, lacked seasoning. The beans were covered in cheese, not bad, but out of a can. We paid way too much money for the quality of food we received. Everything lacked seasoning. I was very disappointed, I should have requested a burrito from Filibertos, because at least they pack their also $8 burritos with meat.
