  • Anyone who knows me, knows that my pup Leopold is the apple of my eye. He is my canine baby and I absolutely adore him - almost to a psychotic extent, if you ask my husband. So obviously, when I was looking for a Pet Resort for him for my frequent trips out of town, I was looking for the BEST. I needed to find a place where Leopold would be comfortable, would be able to play, have fun with other puppy friends, bond with human friends, and would not miss me too much. I needed the place to be clean, safe, and staffed by professional, friendly people. I saw some great reviews for Country Club and took him there for a trial weekend. I was really impressed with the facilities. It is HUGE, well laid out and really nicely designed with dogs in mind. They gave me a tour of the facilities, showed me where Leo was going to stay and told me that he will have his own private kennel, and would be paired with one or two other dogs for walks and playtime several times a day. I really liked this because this meant there wouldn't be some kind of huge disorganized dog chaos with a hundred dogs. There would be only one staff member assigned to him for the whole stay which I also loved, because Leo is shy with strangers and this would allow him to bond with one person. After the trial period, Leo passed with flying colours and he seemed to love it there. They gave me a small report card saying how he did - it was adorable! Leo has gone back two more times after that and he always seems really happy and healthy when I go to pick him up! I always have a good feeling about leaving him there, knowing he is well taken care of. They always give you a small bag of treats when you pick up your dog - it is a nice touch. One time I missed him so terribly during my trip to Europe that I emailed Country Club asking them how he was doing. They got back to me the next day giving me a little report on him and his new friends! It was a small act, but gave me such peace of mind. Only drawback is that it is about 10 minutes outside of Calgary - but for impeccable professional care of my one and only Leopold, I don't mind the drive!
