This was my first attempt at an escape room and I enjoyed the whole experience immensely.
The four of us had a reservation for 9 pm on a Friday night and when we arrived we watched a large group of very happy people exiting the establishment. I heard the word "clever" and "fun" mentioned frequently by both the kids and the adults.
We arrived early so we had to wait for a few minutes while the room was reset and a prop that wasn't working properly was fixed.
After listening to a few important instructions and signing a waiver, we were allowed to enter and that's when we needed to shift into high mental gear and start puzzling the clues out.
After just over an hour of delightful pondering and being baffled and some mild frustration, we managed to escape.
This escape room, set in a room with a lot of books, is definitely worth the time and effort. Most groups will find this room difficult to complete without knowing quite a lot of esoteric information or being willing to accept a few clues.
They are in the process of creating a second room set in a log cabin. If this is as good as their first room, it will be a winner.
