| - I was very pleased to have happened by this place on accident after enjoying Bonchon next door (a solid solid casual and fun dining place).
I thought it would be dead on a Wednesday night and had the good luck of grabbing a seat on a large comfy couch, but the place is pretty small and it started filling up pretty quickly. Put 15-17 people in there and it's kinda at capacity where having more people would make it not an enjoyable experience.
People, please note: it is totally legitimate and a law for places that do serve alcohol but not food to have "membership" cards. It costs you nothing, but it is required they collect your info from an ID. No one is discriminating against you or profiling you. Do not give these folks hard time. Complain to your state lawmakers if it grinds your gears. But I digress...
Pros: Hookah flavors were aplenty, and a special flavor I believe costs $20 or slightly less.pretty reasonable as it lasted well over an hour.
Adam was the most pleasant and customer service oriented. He tended to the hookah very frequently and made sure the flavor didn't get ashy and adjusted the coals to make it very smooth again. He did try to upsell us on a fruit bowl - it is his job to offer (where you smoke through a hollowed out fruit), but I thought at $10 extra it was steep and unnecessary and there was no pressure.
Music was an interesting touch, didn't quite vibe with the hookah bar feel, and I happen to enjoy EDM, but you may not. Sports programming on TV was also odd, but then if customers ask for it, they have to deliver.
Couch seating is very comfy and their ventilation units work very well so it doesn't get too smoky.
Cons: small area (which adds to the intimate setting but can be one crowded), dark (needed to fetch my phone to shine the light at the menu), some patrons I suspect come from Libretto pizza when it closes or from Montfort drive bars and can be quite inebriated and loud/obnoxious. Because it's dark, it's harder to get servers' attention.
