  • Had my hot tub installed by Desert Hot Springs of Chandler on 10/10/2016. Great buying experience and installation. No complaints there. As for the service company, which I did not choose, I guess they were assigned to me? On December 15, I called Hot Spring Spa Service and Repair to report that my remote was not charging (I waited 24 hours to be sure), and I needed a warranty replacement. I was told they would have to call me back to schedule an appt. I got a call back on the 19th, and was told it would be the 27th, 12 days after I first called. I asked Linda why, she let me know that they were subject to getting part from the manufacturer. With my hot tub stuck at 95 degrees, I asked her if there was a way I could change the heat setting without the remote and she answered that I should read the manual. She also said I could reset the tub but did not know how, or even what that would do. I asked her if she could get the part expedited, I have family over for Christmas, I was willing to pay, she said she would check and get back to me. I called the manufacturer in the meantime, they told me that the repair company did indeed have the part. I expressed my utter dismay at having spent $20,000.00 on a top of the line tub, and while I understand things can go bad, I should not have to wait 12 days from first call to have someone come out to swap it out. If I spend $10.00 on Amazon and it goes bad, I return it and have a replacement in days. Fast forward to today, 12/20. Service man knocks at the door (unannounced) and announces himself from Hot Spring Spa Service and Repair. My husband offers to go out back and he says "Please don't", which is pretty rude if you knock on someone's door and invite them to NOT come into their own back yard while you work on their $20,000.00 hot tub! Really? He swaps it out, then knocks again and informs husband that he should contact the manufacturer for future repairs. Then I get the BREAK UP email: Good Morning Christina, Our technician replaced the wireless remote control in your spa today, and the tub is functioning fine now. We have been made aware of your extreme level of dismay with the level of service we are able to provide. We apologize for any inconvenience that you have suffered, as we generally take pride in providing good service to our customers. For all of your future service needs, please contact Customer Service at Watkins Manufacturing at 1-800-999-4688. They will be able to refer you to another service provider to assist you. Thank You Hot Spring Spa Service and Repair 320 E 10th Drive Ste K Mesa AZ 85210 fax 480-219-1810 office 480-699-2644 service@hotspring.phxcoxmail.com
