| - My husband and I were, back in the day - hard core clubbers. Now both of us are 40 with the party bug still living inside us, and now just don't feel like a) waiting in line b) paying high covers c) paying for high priced drinks. d) getting a table for bottle service. It's the been there done that attitude. I found a great deal on Travelzoo and for the price of $39pp to visit 3-4 clubs, plus transportation, no wait in lines, drink tickets, drinks on the bus I said let's do it.
We received a confirmation call the day before to confirm our meeting place at Gold Lounge in the Aria. There we met Lea. She was a spunky gal whose job the whole night was to get us in the party mood and lead us to all the clubs. She handed us 2 for 1 drink tickets and off we went to Gold Lounge were we met our other fellow club hoppers. Mostly groups of girls, and couples. We did meet a bunch of guys from Denmark who took the party bus so they would have an easier time getting into the clubs?! At least that's what they told me.
Our itinerary included Haze, One Oak, and Pure. We did stop at another lounge next to One Oak but my husband and I didn't go in, and instead went straight to One Oak. I felt the night moved pretty fast, and we didn't want to be the one to get LEFT at any club. Lea would tell us how long we had at each club and that was that. We almost were left behind at Haze because my husband HAD to use the bathroom at the wrong moment (of course) and our group was on the way to the bus. We didn't know how to catch up with them (in our drunken state) so I was furious with him for having to go the bathroom! LOL! Lea and the bunch waited for us. Sooo nice of them!
We were given drinks on the bus (mainly bottled drinks out of a cooler). And drink tickets were passed inside the club. Our bus had a pole and lots of dancing. We met a lot of new friends. Shout out to my new friends in South Carolina, Houston, and New York!
At least on our bus, the crowd was older (30s and up) - except for the Denmark guys- mostly married and just with a group to have a good time. Not saying it's not for the younger 20 something group, but they tend to want to meet people at clubs and therefore get tables. You make your night happen, is how I feel. Yes, you may not go to the "in" clubs of the moment, but if you want a fun night out, you are outgoing, like to talk, and especially don't want to wait in lines, or pay cover - this is it. .
