  • A few weeks ago,I spent two days enjoying works of art in this architecturally fantastic art museum.Its collection of Group of Seven Canadian paintings was marvelous,especially their paintings by Alexander Jackson,Lawren Harris,Frank Carmichael,Tom Thomson,and Varley.I also enjoyed their Canadian paintings by Cornelis Kreighoff,David Milne,and Alex Colville("Lady Taking Bath").I also relished their smaller collection of European paintings enjoying fine paintings by Giovanni Dei Biondo,the Jativa Master,Luca Giordano,Jan Goyen,Rembrandt,Frans Hals,Arent Arentz("Skaters"-my favorite),Claude Monet,Camille Pissarro,John Waterhouse,among others.This excellent art museum is well serviced by Toronto's subway system(St. Patrick Station)and is very close to Toronto's vibrant Chinatown.
