  • Amplified Learning Center provides top-notch tutoring, test preparation and homework help for K-12 students. Angela P., the owner, worked for years in CMS as a curriculum head and is really dedicated to getting kids excited about learning, and her rates are extremely reasonable, especially when compared to Kaplan and other test-prep/tutoring services! The space is very bright and cute, with a modern design sensibility. The receptionist area is small and neat, followed by a larger great room that probably seats 65. Most of the tutors seem to be current teachers and they go the extra step to make sure the lessons are connecting. Amplified has recently begun offering the space for creative classes like jewelry-making and crafting demonstrations, and useful things like financial literacy. It's a perfect fit for parents, especially if you're already bringing your kids there to learn too. The space is in a shopping center dominated by the Harris Teeter, so there's plenty of free parking. Is it obvious yet how much I heart this place? I'm excited to see what creative adult classes they'll offer for Spring!
